Frequently Asked Questions
FAQ
Is this fortune-telling?
Absolutely not - it’s not a gift, and astronomy is a concrete science. It requires thorough analysis beforehand. Then, during the consultation, we refine the insights together, because only you know your own life experience. We all possess certain gifts, talents, and contributions that enable us to make a difference in this world. I shed light on things, but I don’t do anything for you - you take action.
Jyotish teaches us that we are not prisoners of fate but co-creators of our reality. This invites us to view the stars not as chains, but as tools for understanding that help us align with our highest purpose.
How can the planets influence us?
That’s a very good question! In reality, I don’t claim to be able to demonstrate a physical mechanism by which the planets influence human beings.
I’m not talking about a gravitational or magnetic force. I use Vedic astrology as an interpretive system. What interests me is its ability to bring meaning and clarity to the guidance I provide.
I always distinguish between two things: the mechanism and the practical value. The mechanism hasn’t been scientifically proven. However, I’ve observed that this tool allows certain people to put their experiences into words, take a step back, and make more informed choices. It’s this practical value that interests me.
What is the difference between Jyotish and Western astrology?
> Western (Tropical) Astrology
Based on the seasons, not on the actual positions of the stars. The zodiac always begins in the spring (on March 21) with the sign of Aries, even though the stars have moved across the sky. Example: If you were born on April 1, you are an Aries in Western astrology.
> Sidereal (Vedic) Astrology
BBased on the actual positions of the constellations in the sky. It takes into account the precession of the equinoxes (a slow shift in the Earth’s axis that means the stars are no longer where they were 2,000 years ago).
In practical terms, this means your Vedic sign may differ from the sign you know in Western astrology.
Will all of your questions be answered?
No, at least not in a single session. Just as a psychologist, for example, wouldn’t solve all your problems in a single session. That’s why it’s important to prioritize your questions using the form you’ll fill out before your consultation.
What do you mean by a therapeutic alliance?
It’s an active collaboration based on a shared understanding of the problems and an agreement on possible solutions—a mutual commitment.
My approach as a therapist:
Empathetic – authentic – present and caring – confidential – clear – interactive – educational – non-judgmental – experiential (I do not offer prescriptions or rules, but rather experiences, exercises, new ways of responding, etc.)
My view of the client:
Free to make their own choices – responsible – authentic – curious – respectful.
